Why we love it: Watch art in action at the inaugural Workhouse Mural Project and Festival. Local muralists will paint three-dimension cubes as attendees listen to live music, food trucks, and more in Lorton. Plus, check out the new LOVE sign that is making its home around the corner from Liberty at the Workhouse Arts Center.

Why we love it: Enjoy the final weekend of summer at Reston’s annual ChalkFest, an art festival devoted entirely to chalk art. There are three different contest categories, ranging from kids to professionals, so everyone can get in on the fun.

Why we love it: The Harris Pavilion ice rink is gone for the summer and musicians are here to help you enjoy the warm weather. The Center for the Arts of Greater Manassas hosts this free concert series all summer long. Rain or shine, come out to see musical acts from a range of genres on select Saturday evenings until Labor Day.
